Ensure that all scope revisions affecting the project schedule and/or budget are discussed with the client.
Ensure that all out-of-scope work and associated fees are approved by the client prior to performing the services.
Hold team meetings ensuring procedures governing review and approval of projects are followed prior to submission of completed work.
Participates in formulating and coordinating proposals and provides other Marketing support, including Business Development.
Adhere to Health and Safety program and all applicable SOPs.
Review monthly labor and cost reports to ensure projects are completed at the pre-determined goal.
Preparation of entitlement documents, including applications, narratives, figures, land use and site plans, and landscape/open space concepts.
Assist in the preparation and review of land use and site plans reflecting the client’s needs and jurisdictional requirements.
Prepare effective work plans and labor budgets for each project.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with all team members involved in the project to ensure high utilization rates (i.e. Project team meetings).
Monitor time schedules and budgets on projects to satisfy the client as well as control work and productivity.
Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects.
Assists with the selection, negotiation, and managing of all activities regarding external clients.
Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepares reports to senior management.
Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices and enhancing corporate objectives.
Works efficiently with the Billing Department to authorize and transmit bills to client. Follows up with clients for timely payments.
Ensure everyone involved is working in accordance with all project planning and profit control procedures.
Identify the project team, work packages and tasks, evaluation methods, productivity targets, schedule of deliverables and manpower needed on projects.
Oversee the work and productivity on assigned projects.
Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules.

AutoCAD, SketchUp, and site planning skills desired but not required.
AICP accreditation is desired but not required.
Ability to effectively perform as a team leader.
8-10+ years of work experience in land/urban planning or closely related field; experience may be with either a public or private sector entity.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
Proficiency with Adobe Suite and MS Office Suite - including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Demonstrate advanced technical and non-technical writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Ability to review and interpret local jurisdictional codes, ordinances, and standards related to land development, zoning, general/comprehensive plans, and architectural design.
