The position involves preparing substation layouts, section drawings, grounding and lightning system designs, as well as cable and tray routing diagrams. Responsibilities also include generating bills of materials, issuing RFQs, vetting vendor offers, estimating engineering hours, and conducting site visits for technical risk and opportunity assessments.
Key deliverables cover primary engineering for AIS and GIS projects, adhering to international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and AS. The role requires verification of technical data sheets for primary equipment, understanding auxiliary design aspects like LVAC/LVDC supplies, battery sizing, and performing FAT/SAT when needed, while continuously seeking innovative ways to reduce engineering effort and support OPEX initiatives.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering with 7‑12 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in CAD and BIM tools (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360) and knowledge of substation tendering, technical and commercial engineering activities are essential. Strong English communication skills, independent problem‑solving ability, and a collaborative, high‑ownership attitude are required.
