The Senior Delivery Manager will build and maintain partnerships with the Engineering and Customer Solutions Directorates to deliver digital products, solutions and services with speed, quality, security and reliability. The role ensures digital solutions meet user and stakeholder needs while maintaining operational reliability.
A core responsibility is to develop and execute a strategic Digital, Data and Technology roadmap that aligns with business goals, attending leadership meetings to ensure close collaboration with directorates and teams. Alignment with the directorate’s objectives ensures technology delivery directly supports business outcomes.
The manager owns Agile DevSecOps delivery for the directorate’s product portfolio, overseeing design, development, testing, deployment and operational stability while managing budgets, timelines and risks. Continuous improvement and risk mitigation are embedded throughout the lifecycle.
The role coordinates a network of strategic and delivery business analysts, architects, platform managers, innovation partners and data stewards, leveraging knowledge, experience and influence to achieve outcomes across DD&T and NESO. Effective communication and influence across these groups are essential for successful delivery.
- Partner with Engineering and Customer Solutions Directorates and business stakeholders to align technology delivery with business objectives.
- Translate NESO priorities and vision into concrete digital charters and roadmaps.
- Plan and manage delivery processes, covering budget, timeline, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and quality standards.
- Own and oversee the functional digital delivery plan for the directorate.
- Champion Agile DevSecOps principles and modern engineering practices.
- Identify and implement new automation opportunities to improve pace, quality, and reliability of digital solutions.
- Make commercially, technically, and operationally sound decisions consistent with DD&T strategy.
- Collaborate with technical leaders to provide seamless services and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Adopt platform best practices, guard rails, and golden paths.
- Build strong relationships with technology partners and service providers.
- Provide first‑line assurance on products and systems, handling risks and mitigation plans.
- Lead, manage, and develop a diverse engineering team, promoting learning and high performance.
- Stay current with technology trends and identify improvement and innovation opportunities.
- Conduct system audits, manage change control, and establish governance for platform usage.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to team members.
- Continuously evaluate digital solutions for impact, value, and user satisfaction.
- Maintain strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building to deliver strategic digital outcomes.
- Apply up‑to‑date technical knowledge of digital trends, platforms such as Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Azure.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
- Translate user and stakeholder needs into effective digital outcomes with an outcome‑focused approach.
- Manage priority incidents effectively and maintain a performance‑driven team culture.
- Lead and manage engineering teams, troubleshooting technical issues and resolving problems.
