This role assists in the proper installation, operation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems, including inspecting, testing, and performing system checks, while preparing accurate and timely inspection reports. The position is based at 7910 Professional Place, Tampa, FL 33637.
Key duties include installing or upgrading sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings, testing and repairing existing sprinkler and alarm systems, and conducting inspections to ensure compliance with fire codes. You will complete detailed inspection reports, protect and maintain company equipment, follow safety procedures, and interact with customers in a professional manner. Additional responsibilities involve responding to emergency service calls, maintaining a clean workspace, and performing other tasks as assigned by management.
Applicants must have at least one year of fire sprinkler industry experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, and good interpersonal skills for both team collaboration and independent work. Reliable transportation, flexibility for occasional evening, weekend, or out‑of‑town assignments, and the ability to interpret and apply applicable laws, codes, and regulations are required. Candidates should also be capable of maintaining accurate records, following oral and written directions, and using or repairing small and light equipment such as power tools and ladders.
The role demands regular standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and occasional lifting or moving of heavy objects. Physical abilities include balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, and visual acuity to safely perform essential functions.
