Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Discover opportunities to collaborate in a team environment to understand client needs, prepare deliverables, and provide project updates.
Develop construction packages for internal construction crews and client contractors that include plan & profiles, staking sheets, bill of materials, structure details, foundation drawings, and installation specifications.
Create computer models of overhead electric transmission lines and structures in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and PLS TOWER.
Present to management, analyze PLS-CADD reports, formulate design aids, and draft reports using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Yammer).
Assemble drawings, specifications, and design criteria for the procurement of tubular steel structures, lattice towers, and transmission line hardware. Review the vendor supplied calculations and drawings for compliance.
Establish design criteria based on industry, company, and/or client standards.
Visit construction sites, meet in client offices, and travel out of town to tour supplier facilities as required by projects and assignments.
Participate in peer reviews to meet quality expectations and client standards to build a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.

Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification (or successful completion of FE exam) preferred
Knowledge of client and industry standards, including NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and RUS
Regular, reliable attendance
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Knowledge of MFAD, LPILE, and geotechnical recommendation application for foundation design, preferred
Experience in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE
At least 2 years’ experience designing transmission lines between 69kV and 345kV
