In this position you will provide strategic design leadership and support for the organization, production, and execution of design projects. You will collaborate with team members on design iterations, generate 3D models using tools such as Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and produce renderings with the Adobe Creative Suite. Additionally, you will develop interior architectural, finish, reflected‑ceiling plans, elevations, details, specifications, and schedules, and work with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to meet design and budget objectives.
The role also involves contributing to office activities, communicating key firm initiatives, and promoting an interdisciplinary design approach that enhances Gensler’s culture of quality and excellence. You will work closely with your team and across the firm to model collaborative design practices.
As a Gensler Designer in the Workplace practice, you will blend creativity and technical expertise to create highly creative, environmentally conscious, and budget‑responsive spaces for clients. The role requires exceptional conceptual design skills, a background in workplace design or interior architecture, and a portfolio that showcases innovative design concepts. You will be an integral member of your team, actively fostering a respectful, creative, and inspiring design environment.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture and possess 2–5 years of relevant interior design experience in corporate workplaces, supported by a portfolio that demonstrates programming, schematic, design development, and completed projects. Required skills include strong communication and presentation abilities, proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, and a solid understanding of sustainable and universal design concepts; NCIDQ certification is preferred but not required.
The base salary is estimated between $70,000 and $80,000, plus bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flexible spending, paid holidays, PTO, 401(k) with profit sharing, employee stock ownership, and reimbursement for professional licenses and tuition.
