Focus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design
Assist with design plans, specifications, and engineering cost estimates.
Conduct field assessments of streams, wetlands, and estuaries
Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies
Provide project engineering support
Evaluate sediment mobility and bridge scour
Work independently in addition to planning, organizing and assisting groups of medium to large teams of professionals and technicians
Collect, assimilate, and present data in reports, memos, and public forums
Assist with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities
Assist with development of habitat complexity designs, including LWM layout and details. Evaluate stability of LWM structures
Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations
Assist with design calculations and clearly document design decisions in technical reports.

Experience with stream restoration design concepts
Experience working with CAD and GIS software
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software HEC-HMS, WWHM, HEC-RAS1D/2D, and SRH2D.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task
