Assemble and turnover project information to operations to run the job and collaborate with the project manager to ensure a successful project.
Lead teams of estimators, PMs, supers, etc. during preconstruction.
Become an indispensable part of the team tasked with winning new work and managing preconstruction by learning and applying DD’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Assemble conceptual budgets early in the process based on limited information.
Participate in Business Development activities to help secure new work.
Negotiate and award subcontracts after a successful bid process.
Learn clients’ goals and help them achieve them.
Strategize with the DD team to develop a winning approach for each project.
Lead and assist in estimating efforts at the various budgeting milestones.
Lead precon meetings with clients and their design teams.
Become an expert on the project, invite the needed trades, identify constructability issues, and find conflicting or missing information that needs to be answered or qualified.
Collaborate with DD Operations to develop project schedule, staffing, and logistic needs.
Team up with other high-performing coworkers.
Manage the preconstruction process from start to finish on multiple concurrent exercises.
