Reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor or Manager, the Maintenance Lead Technician directs a team of technicians to perform repairs and maintenance on chassis (diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks) and refuse bodywork, including hydraulic, electrical, heating and air‑conditioning systems. The role ensures all work complies with Company safety standards and applicable federal and state regulations.
The Lead Technician diagnoses complex repair issues, coaches subordinates on diagnostic techniques, conducts external repair inspections, and schedules work to minimize shop downtime and lost productivity.
Candidates must have at least three years of heavy‑duty truck experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently on systems such as suspensions, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions. Supervisory experience, ASE Heavy‑Truck certifications, and OSHA compliance experience are valued but not required.
The position is a second/PM shift with a $2,500 sign‑on bonus and is open to applicants from numerous Texas locations, including Palmer, Garrett, Crisp, and many surrounding towns.
