Work with all team members to ensure the proper management of the manual data is being performed. This will include organizing, assessing and documenting data changes from production into updates. Ensuring correct source data is being used and notifying source data author when errors are identified
Work with Senior Technical Editor to organize, assess and prioritize research staff workload for regular production meetings
Perform all regular parts manual editing tasks both in Teamcenter, Promptus and on hard copy markups as required. This will involve both regular new manual production as well as manual updates
Assist internal and external requests for technical data information
Report and rectify with solutions, any problems/deficiencies to Senior Technical Editor when encountered during a project
Perform quality control checks as per department requirements
Assisting the Senior Technical Editor to effectively analyze, plan, prepare and assign research staff workload packages ensuring completion dates and objectives are consistently met and in line with established schedule deadlines
Check and ensure file naming and maintenance of electronic files and indexes are correct
Upgrade skills on new or updated software
Analyze and determine illustration and parts list requirements for new or system or component information for research staff when required and for the purpose of ensuring new system information is properly incorporated in the parts manual
Consult Senior Technical Editor for clarification and additional information as required
Perform Parts Manual Teamcenter configuration and clean-up tasks assigned by the Sr. Technical Editor
Provide research staff with training, guidance and solutions for typical research and data management problems when encountered
Communicate effectively with all source data authors such as part suppliers and engineering departments. This is required to establish a good working arrangement, critical for obtaining accurate and on-time source data

Experience with Engineering Data Management systems such as Teamcenter
Heavy equipment/automotive parts manufacturing background
5 years' experience in interpreting Manufacturing BOMs and engineering drawings into service parts lists
Experience in sourcing vendor data
Certification or diploma from recognized technical school as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist or equivalent workplace experience
2 years' experience in editing computer isometric illustrations and structured parts listings
