

Auckland Council governs and manages Auckland's local services, facilities, and community needs.
The position is a permanent full‑time role of 40 hours per week, comprising 36 hours of lifeguarding and 4 hours of administrative duties, with shifts covering early, late, and weekend periods.
Key duties include overseeing safe pool operations, supporting aquatic programmes, and assisting the Team Leader with daily centre activities.
Ideal candidates are passionate about aquatics, excellent communicators, flexible team players, and strong swimmers who hold a Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC) or can pass the required swim test and complete First Aid training.
Candidates must satisfy the council’s swim test standards or hold a current PLPC, and be willing to complete First Aid training.
