Assist with maintaining and cleaning equipment and vehicles to ensure work can be performed in a safe and productive manner.
Perform confined space entry work in manholes on a daily basis
Conduction of field inspection services such as manhole inspection, smoke testing, and dye water flooding.
Assist with installation and maintenance of flow meters
Interact with clients and general public in a professional manner.
Under the direction of the Field Manager, the Environmental Technician will play an integral part in RJN’s success. They will assist with field inspection services in sanitary sewers, storm sewers, and other underground infrastructure.
Travel and work overtime as required.

Valid driver’s license
Previous experience working within confined space entry
Experience working within a customer centric role
High School diploma or GED certificate from an accredited institution
Ability to read and interpret sewer and road maps
Proficiency with smartphones and tablets (iPads, etc.)
Basic computer skills
Physical and cognitive abilities to perform confined space entry
Physical demands: While performing duties of job, employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; squat or crouch in a confined space; climb ladders or steps; work with arms above head; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and tolerate working in heat or cold weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Personal Protective Equipment: None required in office. If working in field, must wear steel-toe boots, Class 2 or Class 3 safety vest, and high visibility T-shirt. Other PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat and other standard equipment used as needed.
Mechanical skills- as you will be utilizing hand and power tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.)
