The Framework Director (Education) will act as the single point of contact for Department for Education (DfE) regional and programme managers, supporting project delivery teams at key gateways and providing consistent oversight from inception through the defects liability period.
Key responsibilities include overseeing DfE framework schemes, managing the bid pipeline, attending bidders’ days, briefing regional bid teams, coordinating consultants and supply‑chain partners, delivering workshops and training, and producing regular performance reports and presentations for DfE senior stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has senior‑level construction experience in the UK, strong leadership and team‑management skills, the ability to work remotely while maintaining team spirit, excellent relationship‑building and influencing abilities, strategic thinking, and well‑developed oral and presentation skills.
Education accounts for about 36% of Galliford Try's building division turnover, with 65% of the education order book secured through frameworks, supported by a national team led by the Education Director and delivered across eleven regional offices.
Galliford Try offers a £4.1 billion order book, a high‑professionalism environment, a ‘Be Well’ wellbeing programme, extensive training from leadership development to apprenticeships, and an Agile Working programme that provides flexibility in when, where and how you work.
Benefits include generous and increasing holiday entitlement (with purchase options), corporate discounts, a Cycle‑to‑Work scheme, comprehensive pension, a regular Save‑as‑You‑Earn share purchase plan, private medical options, 24/7 employee assistance, paid professional association membership, and a commitment to flexible and inclusive working arrangements.
The company welcomes full‑time, reduced‑hours or flexible applicants, encourages candidates who may not meet every requirement to apply, and provides contact details for further information about the role or other opportunities within the Integrated Solutions Division.
