Company
Overview
Since 1988
Global Presence Established
XP Power traces its roots back to 1988, evolving from a niche converter maker into a global critical-power specialist.
£247M Revenue
Annual Revenue Milestone
The company achieves over £247 million in revenue annually, underscoring its position in the power systems sector.
500kV Modules
High-Voltage Expertise
XP Power specializes in high-voltage modules, capable of handling voltages up to 500 kV, driving mission-critical applications.
RF Power Systems
RF Innovation
The company is a leader in RF power systems, providing advanced solutions for various industrial and medical applications.
Publicly listed in 2000, it expanded via strategic US acquisitions—Emco (2015), Comdel (2017) and Glassman (2018)—to broaden its high‑voltage and RF capabilities.
Manufacturing spans China, Vietnam and the US, supported by local engineering in North America, Europe and Asia.
Typical projects power semiconductor fabrication, industrial robotics and medical imaging equipment, often tailored for unique control interfaces.
Specialisms include AC‑DC and DC‑DC converters (0.25 W–700 W), high‑voltage modules up to 500 kV, and RF power systems.
Known for sticky customer relationships—once chosen, its converters often stay in equipment for life.
Standout fact: it absorbed Glassman for its high‑voltage expertise and shifted this production to Vietnam to optimize efficiency.
