The Senior Network Engineer will act as a bridge between development and operations, maintaining network infrastructure across more than 50 offices worldwide, including the headquarters in Veghel, Netherlands. The role involves upgrading systems, identifying gaps, and keeping all stakeholders informed to ensure peak network performance.
Key responsibilities include implementing, configuring, and maintaining LAN/WAN solutions, using monitoring tools to detect issues, and managing routers, switches, firewalls, and data‑center equipment. The engineer will troubleshoot complex connectivity and security problems while maintaining accurate topology documentation and configuration standards.
Collaboration on network security design, automation of routine tasks, and continuous improvement initiatives are required. Incident activity must be communicated clearly to the ICT Service Centre, development teams, and leadership.
Required qualifications encompass strong routing and switching knowledge, hands‑on experience with Aruba CX, Aruba Wireless, ClearPass, Check Point firewalls/MDM, IPSec VPN, BGP, F5 load balancers, cloud networking, and automation tools such as Ansible, Python, and PowerShell. The candidate must create architectural diagrams, possess excellent communication skills, and pay meticulous attention to detail.
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required, along with at least ten years of network engineering experience in multi‑location enterprises and data‑center environments. Preferred certifications include Aruba ACX, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, and F5‑CTS, with additional knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and VMware considered advantageous.
