The role provides operations, maintenance, and repair (OM&R) for HVAC/R and industrial control systems throughout the base. Responsibilities include regular inspection, operational testing, balancing, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment such as chillers, air handlers, compressors, pumps, valve actuators, electronic dampers, temperature and pressure sensors, fan‑coil units, CRAC units, and direct digital controls.
- Perform preventive maintenance per manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
- Operate chemical water treatment program for closed‑loop HVAC systems.
- Manage a comprehensive refrigerant recovery program in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Follow technical orders for parts request, receipt, installation, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of chiller equipment.
- Prepare written reports after inspections, maintenance, repairs, tests, and certifications.
- Adhere to Vectrus, OSHA, and USAF quality and safety programs.
- Participate in a documented training program and maintain certifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment free of dust and clutter.
- Safeguard all government and contractor property, equipment, and tools.
- Accurately complete time‑reporting procedures and timesheets.
- Maintain EPA 608 Universal Certification (all types).
- Operate and maintain AquaForce and York air‑cooled chillers (80‑300 tons).
- Service VRF split units (17‑30 tons), Liebert CRAC units, Petra/DX units (75‑100 tons), Copeland refrigeration units, VFDs, and chilled‑water supply pumps.

All work must follow manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and Vectrus, OSHA, and United States Air Force quality and safety standards. Documentation, time reporting, property protection, and a clean, safe work environment are required, along with participation in a structured training program.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma, EPA 608 Universal Certification, and documented HVAC/R in‑residence training. A minimum of five years’ experience with industrial chilled water systems and CRAC systems is required, as well as U.S. citizenship, a valid passport, a current Secret security clearance, and a manual‑transmission driver’s license.
Relevant experience includes working with AquaForce and York air‑cooled chillers (80‑300 tons), VRF split units (17‑30 tons), Liebert CRAC units, Petra/DX units (75‑100 tons), Copeland refrigeration units, variable frequency drives, and chilled‑water supply pumps. Successful candidates must also pass extensive medical, psychological, drug, background, flight‑line access, and CBRN training requirements.
- Hold a High School Diploma and provide proof of HVAC/R in‑residence training.
- Possess at least five years of experience with industrial chilled water systems.
- Possess at least five years of experience with Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) systems.
- Be a U.S. citizen with a valid passport and active Secret security clearance.
- Hold a valid U.S. driver's license capable of operating a manual transmission vehicle.
- Demonstrate English proficiency and pass a flight‑line access test.
- Complete required medical, psychological, dental, drug, background, and CBRN training.
