Field service engineer

Description

• Maintain full understanding of the company’s products and adhere to all Health & Safety standards, ensuring all on-site work is completed professionally and safely.
• Provide feedback and recommendations following site visits, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the on-call rota as required.
• On arrival at customer premises, communicate purpose of visit and obtain permission before commencing work.
• Liaise with coordinators and customer contacts regarding appointment times and job durations to ensure clear communication.
• Accurately complete and submit all relevant documentation within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain all tools, spares, and equipment in safe working condition, reporting any issues or losses promptly.
• Upon completion, ensure the work area is left clean and tidy, waste is disposed of properly, and all documentation is completed and authorised appropriately.
• Report any instances of malpractice or breaches of company policy discovered during work.
• Carry out service and maintenance activities in line with company procedures, optimising time and minimising costs.

Requirements

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join their team in Dublin. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically minded professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality service and customer support.

• Sector Experience: Previous experience in the Medical Device industry (desirable).
• Education: City & Guilds, NTEC, ONC, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Garda vetting clearance (to be arranged by the company).
• Experience: Prior experience in mechanical and/or electrical engineering (preferred).
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 9001:2008, ISO, and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards (desirable).
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with competent computer literacy (essential).
• Full, clean driver’s licence.
