In this position you will act as the P6 champion, maintaining up‑to‑date monthly programmes, challenging inconsistencies, and managing funding (CER) and change (CR) requests in line with company policy. You will produce Earned Value reports, monitor SPI and CPI, and develop project control plans that align with contract requirements. You will also liaise with contractors, review their programmes for NEC compliance, and attend site progress meetings.
South East Water is seeking a senior P6 professional who wants a high‑impact role with genuine work‑life balance. The Senior Project Controller will own project governance and controls within the Engineering department, ensuring multi‑disciplinary projects are accurately represented in Primavera (P6) and meet internal funding and change‑management gateways. The role supports essential water‑infrastructure projects serving millions of customers across the South East.
The ideal candidate holds professional Primavera P6 training and brings at least five years of project controller experience within construction or infrastructure. You must possess expert planning and scheduling skills, a deep understanding of Earned Value, VOWD and change management, and strong report‑writing and stakeholder communication abilities. A solid grasp of health and safety regulations and the ability to manage a multi‑disciplinary portfolio with a collaborative team ethic are also required.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and will be required to pass background, identity and employment reference checks. Applications are submitted via the South East Water careers website; recruitment agencies should not submit speculative CVs. The successful candidate will join a team delivering 544 million litres of drinking water daily to 2.3 million customers.
The role offers a salary of £51,000‑£62,000 per annum (DOE) and a comprehensive benefits package that includes a stakeholder pension with up to 10 % employer contribution, 5‑6 weeks holiday plus bank holidays, flexible leave, paid volunteering days, a cycle‑to‑work scheme, health cash plan, life assurance and wellbeing initiatives.
