

Produces HVAC, fire, security and building automation systems to optimize and protect buildings globally.
In this role you will perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools, troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems, respond to warranty calls, and provide customers with high‑level service to resolve building inefficiencies. You will load controller software, conduct basic commissioning and diagnostics from controllers to devices, document progress, calibrate systems with electronic test equipment, and complete administrative tasks such as timesheets and expense reports.
You will keep management, contractors, and customers informed of job progress, follow all safety standards, provide recommendations and upselling opportunities, prepare quotes, and continuously improve technical proficiency through self‑study and required certifications. Additional duties include related commissioning and servicing tasks and occasional travel with possible overnight stays.
We are looking for candidates with a 2‑year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air‑conditioning or similar, or at least two years of relevant industry experience. Required knowledge includes HVAC control and facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, PC experience, and ability to program HVAC software. Strong people skills, the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences, and leadership qualities to support mechanics on non‑critical building automation equipment are essential.

The hourly rate ranges from $24.51 to $36.53, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data. This position includes a competitive benefits package, and exceptional candidates may be considered beyond the stated range.
