  • Review and update Cultural Heritage management plans and documents and oversee their implementation
  • Identify non-conformances and provide advice to the Manager – Cultural Heritage and Senior Project Manager
  • Enhance heritage awareness consistent with internal policy, procedures, and use of the EMS
  • Provide advice and support to the Project team and contractors to develop contracts, environmental specifications, and management of contractor's heritage obligations
  • Support input into design and tender documents and review of tender submissions, management plans and other submissions
  • Monitor all construction approval conditions; MDP, Section 18, CEMP and PNR Cultural Heritage
  • Contribute to project reviews and assurance activities against approval conditions and targets
  • Participate and undertake heritage risk assessments, inspections, audits, monitoring, and compliance tasks to report on and enhance heritage performance
  • Update Project heritage management plans and documents as and when required
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory heritage requirements, EMS and Environment Strategy
  • Ensure accurate reporting to the Approvals, Environment and Heritage team and the Senior Project Manager on matters including, but not limited to, risk, compliance, due diligence, contractor performance and process improvements
  • Provide regular updates to the Manager – Cultural Heritage on project
  • Assist and participate in incident investigations
  • Work closely with the Health and Safety team and the Contractor team to provide ongoing process and system improvements on the project to ensure quality heritage outcomes

  • Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining construction/operational Cultural Heritage Management plans and frameworks
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of WA and Commonwealth heritage legislation with experience in compliance management
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree of Science (or Arts) with a major in Anthropology/Archaeology or equivalent (or international equivalent) related to environmental sciences, field biology, or natural resources and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
  • 5 + years' experience delivering heritage management and compliance responsibilities within large scale construction projects
