HVAC Chiller Technician III

Description

• Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
• Identify maintenance risks on equipment and diagnose electrical/mechanical faults.
• Provide technical direction and on‑the‑job training.
• Clean, adjust, repair systems, and perform warranty services.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust pilots, thermostats, burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches, and controls on electrical systems.
• Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
• Assist with customer inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Requirements

• Must have refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification.
• Three (3) years of HVAC experience with emphasis on chillers (PM, troubleshooting, and repair).
• OEM centrifugal chiller experience strongly preferred.
• Must possess EPA Universal certification credentials.
• Prior experience at manufacturers such as Trane, Johnson Controls, York, Carrier, McQuay/Daikin is considered a major plus.
• Must possess HVAC license in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Use common HVAC tools (multimeters, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, standard hand tools, etc.).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an HVAC Journeyman.
• Five (5) years of HVAC experience.
• Must possess a valid, unexpired driver’s license.
