Plant Manager

Description

• Support and participate in internal and external compliance audits.
• Responsible for ensuring safety of the site and operational efficiency. This involves monitoring process, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements.
• Partner with Director of Manufacturing and Engineering department for planning and execution of capital improvements.
• Ensures that employees are adequately trained, qualified, and fully aware of their responsibilities. Address any training gaps and provide necessary resources. Maintain employee training records and documentation.
• Responsible for managing an effective maintenance program for equipment and plant facilities to minimize downtime.
• Responsible for Management of Change (MOC) to assure timely communication and training of process related changes to affected employees.
• Plans and coordinates all activities related to the production of Admixture products to ensure timely processing and shipment of customer orders within quality standards.
• Ensures quality control processes consistently executed to ensure products meet established standards.
• Develops, implements, and reviews programs and work instructions to improve operating efficiencies, product quality, and safety.
• Lead and motivate your team. This includes hiring, training, developing, and evaluating employee performance.
• Manage budgets covering labor, supplies, inventory, and other resources by balancing financial constraints while ensuring optimal performance.
• Support environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) objectives including employee training and awareness programs as part of a continuous improvement process.
• Effectively build good working relationships with team members across all functions of the business.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization, documentation, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively without supervision or guidance.
• 5 or more years’ experience in management or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety is required with experience in EH&S initiatives.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve production and quality control issues.
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
• Ability to lead by example that is consistent with core values of the business and create a culture that values collaboration and development.
• 5 or more years' experience in Construction Chemical manufacturing is preferred.
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
