Your Impact: The OSP Field Engineer provides training and supportive engineering services through highly detailed collection of telecommunications information from the job site. This position requires a working level of knowledge in all technical aspects of fiber networks. The successful candidate is responsible for in‑person validation of the existing field design and layout of the telecommunications network to include aerial, buried and underground fiber network design and layout, underground conduit, handhole, building entrance, and riser facilities. May serve as an informal lead to more junior staff from time to time.
Physical demands include the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, extensive travel and work on‑site for numerous projects across various states, and working outdoors 95 % of the time. Travel may be up to 100 % of the time, by air or vehicle, with overnight stays of up to two weeks and short‑notice assignments. The role requires walking up to 3 miles per day on varied terrain, working in heat, snow, rain or wind, and following OSHA/State/Local safety standards while working safely with or without supervision.
Pearce is committed to fair and transparent pay practices. Base pay ranges from $24‑$29 USD, influenced by skill set, experience, and location.
