The Associate Photographer role services the Homes.com and Apartments.com marketplaces by capturing 3‑D virtual tours, floor plans, and high‑quality photographs of residential homes and apartments. Photographers are equipped with a Matterport Pro 3 camera, digital gear, and an iPad, and they operate within a core territory, meeting scheduled appointments to scan properties and produce marketing imagery. The position collaborates closely with clients, sales, logistics, and a remote Photography Manager.
The job requires up to eight hours of driving, standing, and walking daily, with the ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to five pounds. Repetitive hand and arm motions are needed for tablet and camera operation, along with occasional bending, stooping, and twisting. Photographers must be able to work outdoors in all seasons and follow a rotating weekend schedule.
Candidates need at least two years of professional experience, specifically in real estate photography, and a background as a photographer or a recent photography degree. A FAA Part 107 drone license (or one obtained within 30 days of hire) is required, along with strong time‑management, detail‑orientation, and communication skills. Proficiency with Windows, macOS, Microsoft Office, and internet applications, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record are also essential.
The position is hourly with a salary range equivalent to $57‑$58 K annually plus performance‑based bonuses paid monthly. CoStar offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, dental, 401(k) matching, stock purchase plan, tuition reimbursement, mental‑health counseling, and paid time off. The company embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion, and only considers candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
