The Director of IM/IT and Digitization reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is a core member of the Woodfibre LNG team. This role is tasked with creating and executing Ready for Operations (RFO) activities, defining the technology roadmap, and ensuring that digital capabilities and infrastructure are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. The director oversees enterprise platform deployments, OT/IT integration, data governance, cybersecurity, and telecom infrastructure while coordinating with global support services and vendors.
Key responsibilities include strategic leadership to devise a fit‑for‑purpose IM/IT strategy, collaboration with senior leadership and engineering to embed technology across the organization, and advising the executive team on risks and digital transformation opportunities. The director will lead implementation of core enterprise systems such as ERP, EAM (e.g., SAP), document management, project controls, commissioning platforms, and SCADA, and will drive OT‑IT convergence for real‑time decision making. Telecom and network infrastructure design, vendor management, service‑level agreement definition, and rigorous cybersecurity governance are also essential components.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (a master’s degree is preferred) and bring at least ten years of progressive IM/IT leadership experience, including three years at the director level. Proven experience delivering technology for greenfield or capital‑intensive projects in the energy, LNG or oil‑and‑gas sectors, along with a strong background in cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 or IEC 62443, is required. The role demands expertise in ERP, EAM, SCADA/ICS, telecom infrastructure, excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, and proficiency with collaboration tools like Office 365 and MS Teams. A valid driver’s licence, passport, and legal entitlement to work in Canada are mandatory; the position is based in Vancouver with site visits as needed and offers a salary range of CAD 190 000‑210 000 per year.
