Work with contractors on major rebuilds.
Assure the efficient, clean and safe fueling and oiling of equipment
Assist equipment operators in effectively using the Daily Walkaround Report
Write work orders and order appropriate parts.
Receive equipment assigned to the job and document the condition; set this equipment up on a regular service and inspection schedules
Read and understand plans and specifications, which includes the Operator's Manuals for equipment repair.
Perform preventative maintenance such as change hoist ropes, build and install hoses, and maintain shovel for production needs.
Use appropriate hand and power tools to repair, replace or perform maintenance on equipment
Perform weld repairs as needed on large mining equipment, with the ability to run an air arc, oxy-acetylene torch, plasma cutter, weld with stick, hardwire, and II70.
Evaluate a timetable to assure certifications such as for cranes and commercial vehicles
Assist the project with the generation of an accurate Equipment Locator
Document with the Off-Hire Report.
Assure that equipment leaving the job is Job-ready for the next assignment
Troubleshoot and repair lube and air systems.

Must possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
Ability to read blueprints and fabricate based off the blueprints.
Ability to run support equipment such as forklift, front end loader, overhead cranes, and knuckle truck.
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
A minimum of 3 years working knowledge of maintenance on P&H mining shovels.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
Able to meet all physical requirements.
Able to work rotating shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the workload
Ability to perform work in a safe manner with minimal supervision, while following best practices and in accordance with company policies.
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.
