Description

As a Diesel Mechanic you will service trucks and equipment that serve over 20 million customers nationwide, using modern tools and procedures on diesel and, at some locations, CNG trucks. You will take pride in delivering high‑skill maintenance that keeps the community moving.

Key duties include inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems, estimating time and material costs, adhering to Standard Labor Repair Times, responding to emergency breakdowns, performing safety checks, completing required paperwork, and maintaining a clean, OSHA‑compliant work area.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
• Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts
• Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
• Respond to emergency breakdown service calls
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles
• Complete paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times
• Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards

Requirements

Candidates must have at least two years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, be 18 years or older, legally authorized to work in the United States, and able to meet the physical demands of the job. Successful applicants will also pass a pre‑employment drug screen and physical, and thrive as team‑oriented, independent problem‑solvers who enjoy varied challenges.

• Minimum 2 years relevant mechanical experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Age 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to meet physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Pass pre‑employment drug screen and physical examination
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Determined problem‑solver
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constant standing, walking, and grasping
• Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, dirt, odors, noise, and extreme weather
