This position demands the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multitasking environment while supporting customer development, delivering quality work, and understanding relevant NFPA codes.
Trainees will learn to conduct NFPA 25 inspections on wet, dry, deluge, pre‑action sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipe systems, and fire hydrants, as well as NFPA 72 inspections on fire alarm components and NFPA 10 inspections on fire extinguishers. They will also perform basic troubleshooting, document work tickets and inspection reports, self‑schedule daily inspections, and upsell company capabilities. OSHA certification for lift work at elevations of 30‑40 feet and annual inspections of domestic and fire backflow devices are also required.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED (vocational or trade school a plus), strong customer service and organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Physical requirements include lifting 35 lb, climbing ladders or scaffolds, and standing for extended periods. Mechanical aptitude, basic electrical troubleshooting, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential, and the ability to obtain NICET or other required certifications is expected.
