UXO Tech III

Description

• Supervise and execute all MEC‑related activities on project sites, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
• Perform duties of UXO Tech II and Tech I as needed.
• Support planning, execution, and completion of munitions response and range clearance tasks.
• Identify, locate, and safely handle UXO, munitions, and explosives of concern.
• Oversee field team performance and mentor junior UXO staff.
• Ensure adherence to work plans, safety protocols, and federal/state regulations.
• Complete field documentation and reporting per project and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with project leadership, clients, and regulatory stakeholders.

Requirements

The role seeks experienced UXO Technicians III for munitions response and range clearance projects across the United States and territories; this posting pools talent for current and future assignments and requires compliance with DDESB TP-18.

• Minimum 8 years of UXO work experience, including military EOD or commercial munitions response.
• Completion of DDESB Certified UXO Technician I Course (or equivalent military EOD training).
• OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER certification with current 8‑hour refresher and 8‑hour Supervisor certification, plus OSHA physical.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF Possessor clearance for handling explosives.
• Strong understanding of MEC‑related health, safety, and environmental protocols.
• Proven leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
