In this role you will lead commercial activities across a global supply chain, handling contract drafting, negotiation, execution and ongoing management with suppliers, customers, partners and regulatory bodies. You will also shape commercial strategy, pricing models and risk allocation while ensuring compliance with company policies.
The position involves developing and maturing the commercial function through governance, processes and training, and mentoring junior team members. You will work closely with internal stakeholders at all levels, presenting information clearly and influencing decisions.
We are looking for candidates with strong experience in drafting and negotiating complex, high‑value agreements, and the ability to contribute to commercial strategy and pricing. Proven expertise in building commercial processes and governance, excellent stakeholder management and the capacity to communicate effectively to diverse audiences are essential.
All applicants will undergo additional nuclear‑industry screening, including Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance, a DBS check and a basic financial probity check.
The Commercial Manager role is based in Warrington, Derby or Manchester and reports to the Commercial Directorate at Rolls‑Royce SMR. The position offers a salary between £51,000 and £63,000 (dependent on experience) with a 12.5 % bonus, a £2,200 annual benefit allowance, private medical cover and flexible 37.5‑hour weekly working arrangements.
