MSc or further qualifications in transport planning or transport economics (beneficial but not essential)
Significant experience in technical leadership, stakeholder engagement and Client relationships
Senior skills in planning for public transport projects, that may include some of the following: demand modelling/forecasting, transport business cases, wider transport economics, transport policy & strategy, network planning, bus franchising, electrification, decarbonisation, bus related infrastructure development and design.
Success in business development activities and winning new work
Proven track record in leading public transport schemes for buses and/or rail. This could be in roles within the public transport industry, the public sector or consultancy
Membership in a relevant professional organisation (such as IHT, ILT, TPS, or ICE), ideally as a chartered professional or TPP
A degree in a related discipline (or equivalent)
Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues, and excellent report writing abilities
Commercial acumen and a business-focused mindset
