Capital Works Operator - Queenstown

Description

• Coordinate with Team Lead, contractors, and internal departments to facilitate seamless project execution and maintain clear communication channels throughout all phases of capital works projects
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement appropriate safety measures to maintain a zero-harm work environment, ensuring full compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and company policies
• Maintain accurate on site project documentation, including safety records, and compliance documentation, ensuring full traceability and accountability for all capital works activities
• Execute all aspects of capital works projects from establishment through to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, and quality specifications
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards, conducting regular inspections and quality assurance checks in accordance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements
• Support the capital works team on site to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of all project deliverables in accordance with established health and safety protocols and organizational standards
• Civil works and operation of various plant including excavators

Requirements

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proven problem solving skills and proposed methodologies.
• Ability to fault find on damaged 3 waters infrastructure.
• Relevant hands-on trade specific experience.
• Knowledge of water and wastewater operations, maintenance and project activities.
• Understanding of the criticality of 3 waters operational requirements.
• Literacy, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organise resources, establish priorities and meet deadlines through balancing commitments and priorities.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues and contractors.
• Class 2 and 4 trucks
• Motivation and enthusiasm, a keen eye for detail and a desire for excellent customer service.
• Exposure to the water and/or waste water industry and basic understanding of various water treatment technologies and processes is preferable.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and contractors.
