The Sales Representative for Westlake Royal Building Products – Unified Steel will achieve sales and profitability targets in the Florida territory, focusing on distributors, roofing contractors, property managers, HOAs, custom and volume builders, and other new construction and re‑roof market segments. The role involves promoting Unified Steel and roofing components and expanding market share.
Key responsibilities include building strong customer relationships, collaborating with distribution partners, developing territory plans, interpreting market data, attending trade shows, managing budgets and expenses, handling customer complaints, coordinating accounts receivable, providing technical advice, distributing product literature, and preparing sales reports and forecasts. The position also requires compliance with safety policies, maintaining the customer database, and extensive travel, up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays.
- Quickly establish strong relationships with existing customers

- Offer technical advice to customers
- Distribute product literature, samples, and supporting documents
- Assist with material takeoffs, quotes, and installation details
- Arrange product demonstrations and training sessions
- Submit sales reports and forecasts promptly

- Maintain the customer database to match needs with offerings

Ideal candidates have direct B2B sales experience, preferably in the roofing industry, excellent negotiation and relationship‑building skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail. They should be enthusiastic self‑starters with strong interpersonal abilities, a consultative selling mindset, proficiency in MS Office, and experience using Salesforce, SAP, or similar systems. A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background check are required.
The role demands frequent sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lb, as well as the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and in outdoor or non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environments.
