Providing innovative energy solutions for a sustainable, electrified future.
You will join the GA Secondary team to support Protection and Control engineering, primarily by creating electrical circuit diagrams and related documentation using AutoCAD Electrical. As an individual contributor you will deliver tasks based on given inputs and collaborate with colleagues and cross‑functional teams when required.
Key duties include preparing single line diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, and protection/control schematics for medium and high voltage substations, as well as designing junction boxes, performing AC/DC load calculations, and generating trip matrices and interlocking tables. You will also produce mimic boards, communication architecture diagrams, and complete digital control and protection drawings for digital substations, and may configure and test relays.
The role requires self‑review of documents before submission, generation of preliminary BOMs, and addressing technical queries raised by customers during project execution. Compliance with applicable codes, standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI), QA/QC policies, and Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity is mandatory.
Candidates must hold a B.E. or diploma in Electrical Engineering, have 5‑8 years of relevant experience, and possess excellent knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and protection & control systems for transmission, distribution, or generation. Familiarity with industry standards, relay configuration, teamwork, communication skills, and proficiency in spoken and written English are also required.
Hitachi Energy provides reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities and promotes a collaborative, innovative environment where employees can grow and contribute to pioneering projects in sustainability, smart cities, and advanced technology.
