Review CAD models and drawings for feasibility, manufacturability, and tolerance stack-up.
Support DV/PV testing (foam compression, durability, function, comfort) and analyze results for compliance.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier Development, and Program Management teams to ensure production and launch readiness.
Provide timely feedback to DREs, product engineers, and plant leaders to drive design improvements and issue closure.
Evaluate and quantify current design sensitivities (currently focused on two specific topics).
Evaluate opportunities for next-generation structure design focused on robustness, cost savings, and innovation.
Investigate concepts to minimize design sensitivities through design iterations, prototyping, small-scale trials, and full validation.
Analyze field returns and warranty claims to identify trends and implement permanent corrective actions.
Serve as the customer-facing technical contact for design reviews, warranty discussions, and validation updates.
Participate in prototype builds, pre-production events, and launch activities; track and close issues using standard metrics.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in seat assembly, foam/urethane molding, and overall product quality.
Investigate and resolve non-conforming or rejected seating components through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
