Arcus is seeking a Drainage Engineer to cover Reading and the surrounding areas. The role focuses on delivering planned and reactive drainage work to a high standard, acting as the first line of response to emergencies during normal hours and providing out‑of‑hours on‑call support to keep customers’ trading operational.
- Diagnose and identify faults in drainage equipment and systems, provide solutions and escalate as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and follow company policies.
- Conduct drainage surveys and produce technical reports, sharing key data with field personnel.
- Represent Arcus as a brand ambassador, maintain professional appearance and vehicle condition.
- Support team through training, upskilling apprentices, and regular communication.

- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- CSCS card (desirable).
- High‑pressure water jetting qualification (desirable).
- Confined space certification (desirable).
- Experience with commercial drainage systems, preferably in retail.
- Knowledge of CCTV and ability to work unsupervised in a fast‑paced environment.
- Smartphone, tools, uniform and PPE.
