What you would be doing

- Provide accurate documentation and photos of all locates related to all locates completed
- Perform work in all weather conditions
- Regularly drive to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings
- Use ground penetrating radar or sonar to locate non-ferrous conduits and pipes
- Participate in our on-call rotation – which includes weekend and after-hour time commitments
- Use assigned communication equipment to effectively communicate with excavators, utility reps, and company personnel, regarding underground facilities
- Operate different electronic detection equipment, to locate and mark under-ground facilities within prescribed accuracy limits
- Operate company vehicle in a safe manner, and maintain professional appearance
- Read and interpret utility maps / prints to identify the type and size of underground utilities
- Receive and respond to excavation notices in accordance with established time requirements

- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and exemplary driving record (minimum points will be discussed)
- Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices
- Minimum of 1-year utility locate experience
- Use iPad or other devices to receive, document and close out excavation notices
- Ability to obtain Operator Qualification certification within one month of employment
- High School Diploma, or GED
- Be able to perform junction well and/or manhole entry using assigned equipment and safety devices
- Minimum of 1-year damage free
