The primary purpose of the janitor is to maintain assigned areas—offices, commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings—in a clean and orderly condition. Success in this role depends on teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Perform work assignments collaboratively with other employees

- Fill in during staff shortages

- Clean and stock restrooms and breakrooms
- Use hands/fingers for handling, gripping, feeling, and grasping
- Perform repetitive tasks
- Work under pressure and meet deadlines during peak periods
- Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies
- Follow safety protocols and maintain environmental responsibility
- Participate in HSEQ training and report hazards or compliance concerns
