Familiar with utility scale solar project designs including single line drawings, civil, structural, electrical site plans, DC and AC wiring diagrams and equipment layouts
Must have great attitude in working with the Moss team
Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical field, or related discipline
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the solar construction industry or direct engineering managements on solar construction projects - solar experience is required
Solar electrical systems background
Understand the construction applications of solar power plant design, including PV string sizing, DC and AC conductor and conduit sizing, and racking/tracker design and powering
Have experience with substation design review and coordination at medium voltages (usually 34.5 kV) to point of interconnect
Have direct and relevant experience with the latest solar and battery storage equipment including solar panels, inverters/transformers, racking systems and battery systems
Ability to develop, review, and approve engineering scope of work documents for external engineering partners
Highly organized and able to multi-task multiple projects at once
Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) as it relates to utility scale power plants is a plus
Possess a general knowledge of civil designs including road design, plant grading design, drainage design, and permitting coordination
General knowledge of solar plant SCADA requirements and design
Good communications and presentation skills including the ability to organize and present complex technical information effectively in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of electrical design, materials, and methods of construction in power systems
Comfortable traveling cross-country to perform site visits and provide technical support to construction teams
Possess a knowledge of electrical and system studies required for plant designs
Achieved through a wind energy project contributing to carbon-neutral operations.
