Provides direction, guidance, and preliminary review of the work performed by entry-level engineers, technicians, and interns
Provides quality content for plans, specifications & estimates (PS&E) packages with timely delivery and within budget constraints with minimal direction
Develops working relationships with outside contacts such as utilities, regulatory agencies, and sub-consultants as directed by supervisor
Provides engineering design calculations & documents, memos, and project reports (Ex. -grading, quantity take offs, procedures or manual cost estimating, designs) that meet the requirements of the client and follow Mark Thomas’ standard/Quality Control (QC) practices & procedures, as well as details for all work
Attends and actively participates in professional organization activities
Participates in presentations for internal or external audiences on technical or project-related topics/issues
Provides support during construction phase, exhibiting an understanding of construction methodologies, techniques and associated working space
Independently prepares content for technical reports and/or supporting attachments, calculations, or other pertinent details
Updates Project Managers or Supervisors regarding status of projects and progress of work products on a regular basis
Assists in the preparation of proposal packages and exhibits

2-4+ years of progressive experience, preferably in a consulting engineering firm
Demonstrated proficiency in general office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a variety of unique and diverse people and personalities
EIT required
Demonstrated proficiency knowledge of advanced features of current engineering software (Auto CAD, Civil3D, etc.)
BS degree in Civil Engineering
Conveys technical information utilizing clear verbal and written skills
California Professional Engineering license (PE) is a plus
Ability to work as an effective and productive team member
