Inspects, maintains company equipment, and trucks in safe working order.
Perform work in a safe manner on energized and de-energized distribution systems.
May work in storm restoration operations to rebuild and/or repair damaged power systems.
May be required to read and interpret blueprints.
May attend training classes or seminars to gather knowledge of new processes, safety regulations and/or refresher training.
Drives and operates conveyance machinery equipped with tools and materials to and from job site.
Adheres to all Company Safety and Health Policies
Lifting and handling materials up to 60 pounds unassisted.

Experienced in pole/tower climbing using fall protection systems.
Able to string, sag, and dead-end conductor.
Walking and working across uneven terrain.
Understands procedures to safely dig holes in the presence of underground utilities.
Ability to safely set/replace poles (wooden, steel, concrete) on an energized distribution system.
Has the ability to troubleshoot problems on distribution systems?
Has worked in the line industry as an apprentice lineman for at least 4 years.
Understands safe heavy lifting and rigging procedures.
Capable of safely performing a re-conductor job
May be required to hold a valid class “B” commercial driver’s license.
Able to safely install and remove mechanical jumpers.
Capable of climbing wooden poles and towers.
Experienced in identifying primary and secondary voltage on a circuit.
Has the skill sets to safely operate a digger derrick and bucket truck?
Exposure to hot and cold weather conditions.
Understands minimum approach distances.
Capable of safely installing and removing cover up material
Must be able to conduct a Job Task Safety Analysis (JTSA) as required.
