This hybrid position allows a mix of remote and on‑site work. As the Electrical Team Lead, you will guide a multidisciplinary group of engineers and designers in creating, modifying, and analyzing electrical systems for nuclear material processing, waste treatment, storage, disposal, and commercial nuclear power plants. The role involves tackling complex design challenges, troubleshooting issues, and delivering innovative engineering solutions.
You will oversee detailed design phases, coordinate system‑level activities to meet specifications, codes, and client requirements, and manage vendor interactions for equipment specifications. In addition, you will prepare and review calculations such as arc‑flash, voltage drop, and fault current, and generate clear technical reports and documentation for drawing production. Mentoring junior engineers and fostering knowledge sharing through S&L’s Communities of Practice are also key components of the position.
- Lead the electrical team in coordinating detailed design phases for all aspects of electrical engineering work
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Coordinate system design activities to comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements
- Prepare and review detailed electrical calculations such as arc‑flash, voltage drop, fault current, and lighting analyses
- Produce design input documentation, including master diagrams and schematics, for drawing production
- Interface with vendors to develop material and equipment purchase specifications for client recommendations
- Write technical reports and studies that clearly present information in accordance with client and S&L formats
- Conduct independent reviews of calculations and drawings prepared by others
- Share knowledge with peers through S&L’s Communities of Practice and mentor less‑experienced engineers
