Residential Solar Roof Lead
Harmon Electric & Solar
Provider of electrical and solar services specializing in sustainable energy solutions.
Residential solar roof installation and management, including supervising roof operations, ensuring quality installations, and managing crew and resources.
Help manage costs to keep projects within budgeted labor.
Selects materials and structural units, ensuring conformance with provisions of building code and local ordinance.
Maintaining a clean/safe work site.
Supervising, training, and mentoring crew members.
Coordinating tasks according to priorities and plans
Allocating general and daily responsibilities on installations and keeping crews motivated, on-task, and working efficiently.
Ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time, within budget, meets quality standards. is installed per plans and passes inspection.
Addressing any issues that may arise.
Monitoring safety and roof progress
Supervising the work of all roof operations
Maintain advanced knowledge of code and be the "go-to" competent person on the roof.
Follows all Harmon Electric safety guidelines, procedures, protocols, and policies
Leading crew by example, solving disputes between workers and acting as a liaison between workers.
Conducts safety meetings and daily evaluations of working conditions
Updating foreman, project managers and superintendent with all job progress, concerns, issues, and needs
Managing equipment and materials required for installs.
Arriving on-site in a timely manner with all needed materials and communicating with homeowners.
Predict resources needed to complete projects and assist foreman in keeping a well-stocked truck.
Photograph and document all aspects of rooftop installation through completion.
Install and provide rooftop expertise on a solar installation crew while completing quality installations based upon design specifications
Participate in required training programs.
Requires exercising discretion in the decision-making process and maintaining strict confidentiality regarding customer, employee, and company proprietary information.

Maintains a consistently positive attitude and strong work ethic
Self-motivated and dependable, with a willingness to learn and take on tasks outside of one’s comfort zone
Ability to work 40 hours per week or more, if required.
OSHA 10 certification required - or ability to obtain in first 6 months (OSHA 30 Preferred)
Must be able to work in confined spaces and on ladders.
Minimum 2 years of experience in solar installation and electrical work, preferably residential solar
Must be physically active and able to stand or move continuously throughout the workday.
Understanding of construction trades, materials, methods, and applicable permitting/regulatory requirements
Must have reliable transportation
Valid driver license and proof of insurability required when job duties involve vehicle use.
Strong working knowledge of roof layouts and solar PV integration
Willingness to travel to multiple job sites in and around Phoenix, and potentially statewide.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with clients, colleagues, and team members; must be able to read and write in English
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
Must provide own tools necessary to perform job duties.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, stooping, crawling, climbing ladders, and working on rooftops.
Ability to install roof portion of residential solar PV systems from start to finish, including all phases of installation
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented, efficient, and reliable
Proficient in reading construction drawings, blueprints, project plans, and technical diagrams
May require prolonged periods of sitting, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
Communicating in a professional, courteous, and respectful way with all employees and clients
Pass background check and drug screening.
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs. unassisted.
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities or schedules
Ability to both perform and delegate work effectively, with demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
