Rail Delivery Lead - Nuclear New Build

Description

The Rail Delivery Manager will provide leadership to ensure the effective and coordinated delivery of the rail projects within the SZC site delivery programme. This role is responsible for developing and executing the implementation plan to deliver the rail works safely, on‑time, to budget and to the required quality. It will also manage the impact of the rail sub‑programme on the wider project and maintain governance across all phases. The manager will champion continuous improvement, risk management and stakeholder collaboration.

• Manage full lifecycle rail project delivery, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and cost compliance.
• Drive planning and execution strategies aligned with project requirements and stakeholder expectations.
• Manage risk, change control and continuous improvement across all phases.
• Maintain robust governance and reporting against milestones and budgets.
• Foster collaboration across internal teams, alliances and external stakeholders.
• Direct and coordinate rail contracts, schedules and deliverables to meet programme objectives.
• Secure and manage resources, ensuring capability and performance across multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues and escalate risks to senior leadership.
• Apply earned value management and quality assurance principles consistently.
• Champion lessons learned and best practice sharing across projects.

• Proven experience delivering complex, multi‑disciplinary rail projects in regulated environments.
• Expertise in engineering design, contract management and EPCM project delivery.
• Skilled in cost, risk, schedule control and earned value management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership across diverse teams and interfaces.
