Roof Lead

Description

• Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles
• Flashing penetrations as needed to ensure project quality
• Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemblevery smallobjects
• Strictly follow all Freedom Forever safety regulations and policies
• Determinethe distance between objects
• Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects
• Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position
• Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects
• Assemble all roof components in an efficient and safe manner
• Ensure all work is performed in strict compliance with Freedom Forever policies, applicable codes (Ex: NFPA-70, IRC, IFC, CA-T24, etc.).
• Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm
• Repeat the same movements
• Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body forlong periodswithout getting tired
• Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) whileremainingin place
• Follow all direction given by senior members of the crew
• Updating andmaintainingconstant communication with the crew lead onsite
• Install projects adhering to Freedom Forever plan sets
• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Loading and unloading company vehicle with project materials
• Loading and unloading materials to and from the roof/structure being installed on
• Providingdirection and task assignment for all work performed at the PV array (roof or ground mount)
• Perform ground and final wire electrical work both independently and under direct supervision

Requirements

• DrivingCompany vehicle to and from the branch
• Excellent customer service skills
• All assigned Freedom Forever training modules and documentation must be completed by the designated due date
• Walk or run forlong periodsof time
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understand the speech of another person
• React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet
• Able to work safety with heights on ladders and in confined areas
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl
• Lift 50+ pounds
• Must have a valid state driver's licenseandhave a clean driving record
• Basic electrical and PV installation (racking and module install)
• Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, work on rooftops and able to work on your feet forlong periodsof time
• Attention to detail
• Ability to motivate and mentor othersfrom a leadership position
• Well skilled with power and hand tools as well as showing others how to safely use them
• Ability to assign tasks to team and ensureall tasks are completed in order and on time
• Performall PV electrical work independently or under direct supervision.
• Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
• Must have a strong understanding of PV systems, components, installationmethodsand safety practices
• Stand forlong periodsof time
• Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
• 1 year of PV installation experience isrequiredinclusive of a minimum of 6 months leading an installation crew
