Description

This position reports to the Service Manager and involves executing low to medium complexity service work according to ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. You will plan and carry out tasks with a first‑time‑right approach, demonstrating urgency and care in your responsibilities.

The role follows an onsite work model and contributes to the Electrification Service in Singapore. Primary accountabilities include collaborating with customers on‑site to improve operations, performing field service tasks and technical analyses, preparing material lists to ensure proper parts and equipment are available, and troubleshooting failures while recommending proactive corrective actions.

• Identify on‑site opportunities to improve customer operations and eliminate pain points.
• Perform field service tasks, diagnose technical issues, and conduct remote or on‑site analysis.
• Prepare and verify material lists, ensuring quality parts and equipment are ready for service.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process failures, initiate corrective actions, and recommend preventive measures.
• Read and interpret SLDs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Apply strong analytical and troubleshooting skills using tools such as multimeters and insulation testers.
• Work safely onsite in industrial environments, following ABB safety procedures.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with solid power systems knowledge, be able to read SLDs, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills using tools such as multimeters and insulation testers. Comfort with industrial onsite environments, adherence to safety procedures, good communication skills, a customer‑focused attitude, and full work rights in Singapore are also required.
