The District Sales Manager role is based in the Seattle/Bellevue/Everett, WA area and reports to the Regional Sales Manager. This position is responsible for achieving sales objectives, developing project opportunities, and cultivating long‑term relationships with key account decision makers within a matrix sales organization.
In this role you will implement sales and account strategies set by management, develop and execute Key Account Plans, and increase demand for the company's products through prospecting, scheduled customer calls, and CRM‑driven project development. You will also deliver professional sales presentations and work with local manufacturing representatives as directed.
You will own and manage the annual sales plan and strategic account plans to drive market penetration across various segments, while supporting cross‑functional teams to ensure client deliveries are executed as agreed. Participation in corporate training and continuous professional development is expected.
Reporting duties include maintaining monthly sales reports and business metrics, providing weekly updates to management, and preparing daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports that cover field activity, competitor analysis, and forecasts. All travel and incidental expenses must be tracked and submitted within budgetary limits.
The position requires extensive travel—up to 80% of the time—primarily local visits to customers, training sessions, and trade shows. You will also assist in the adoption of EDI and VMI initiatives with distributors across the district and region.
Candidates must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, and CRM systems, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proven strategic selling abilities. Required competencies include relationship building, market analysis, forecasting, autonomous work style, and the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
A high school diploma or equivalent and at least three years of product sales experience are required; a college degree is preferred. A valid driver’s license is mandatory, and equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
The total rewards package includes a base salary ranging from $97,335 to $132,862, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
