Description

The Builder is responsible for assembling, installing, and finishing modular building components, preferably with carpentry experience, and must work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment, adhering to quality and safety standards.

• Assemble and install structural components for modular and prefabricated buildings.
• Perform carpentry tasks, including framing, cutting, and fitting sheet metal.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and project requirements.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and painting teams to meet schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Provide general labor and support as needed.

Requirements

Work is performed in a non‑climate‑controlled fabrication shop and on job sites, may require overtime and occasional travel, and requires physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.

• Prior construction, carpentry, or modular assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Carpentry certification or formal training desired.
• Experience with modular or prefabricated construction.
• Forklift or crane operation experience.

Benefits

We are hiring Builders for our Finishing & Assembly Departments on a temp-to-hire basis, first shift, with pay ranging from $18‑$22 per hour based on experience. The role will be employed through Kudzu staffing for the first 480 hours.
