This is a key leadership role responsible for establishing CMC’s delivery footprint on a major project that integrates inland rail connectivity, road upgrades, large-scale earthworks, and industrial infrastructure development with sustainability outcomes.
During the design phase, you will be based at our Eagle Farm Head Office overseeing all design partners, technical disciplines, internal and external interfaces to ensure the program, scope, and constructability requirements of the project are met.
Upon commencement of the construction phase, the position transitions into the senior project leadership role on site, guiding delivery teams, managing client relationships, ensuring compliance and performance, and driving safety, environmental, commercial, and operational outcomes.
- Transition to Delivery - July 2026 Onwards leading the mobilisation and establishment of site operations once construction begins.
- Commercial and Contractual Management - Providing leadership on contract compliance, variations, EOTs, commercial strategy, and risk mitigation.
- Client, Stakeholder, and Community Engagement - Building and maintaining strong, transparent relationships with Government agencies, designers, stakeholders, landholders, and community representatives.
- Design Management - Leading, coordinating and controlling all design activities, ensuring compliance with the contract requirements, development approvals, and statutory obligations.
- Safety, Quality, and Environmental Leadership - Leading Safety in Design processes and ensure all design outputs reflect CMC’s safety-first philosophy.

Therefore, you will need to be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident, or have a current valid visa allowing you the right to work in Australia to apply for this position.
Initially you will be based in Brisbane and happy to work away on site during the construction phase.
The role requires strong experience across civil infrastructure design management, stakeholder engagement, multidisciplinary coordination, and rigorous program control.

- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or related field);
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document collaboration platforms;
- Advanced skills in project scheduling, digital engineering review, and collaborative design platforms;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence across operational and corporate environments;
- High-level commercial and contractual acumen;
- Demonstrated experience in Design and Construct leadership for complex, multidisciplinary projects;
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proven ability to lead large project teams and manage consultant and subcontractor performance;
- Minimum 12–15 years’ experience in major civil infrastructure projects;
- Experience transitioning from design leadership into construction delivery leadership;
- Experience in large-scale precinct, industrial infrastructure, or regional development projects;
- Strong program management skills and constructability awareness;
- Leadership, Culture, and Team Development - Fostering a high-performing, cohesive team environment across both design and construction phases.
