Building Services Manager

Description

• Coordinate with design, commercial, and construction teams to ensure MEP elements integrate seamlessly with the overall build.
• Lead and manage the building services function across multiple packages within a new build construction project.
• Ensure MEP systems are commissioned, tested, and handed over in accordance with client and statutory requirements.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
• Drive programme delivery, risk management, and progress reporting to project leadership.
• Engage with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain excellent communication and relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee the review of design drawings, value engineering, and technical submittals.

Requirements

Our client, a reputale and established main contractor, are seeking an experienced Senior Building Services Manager to lead the MEP delivery on a high-profile new build project. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of building services from design coordination through to installation, commissioning, and handover — ensuring quality, compliance, and programme delivery.

• Proven track record managing MEP services on large-scale new build projects (£10m+ value).
• Experience with BIM and digital construction tools.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of current building regulations, sustainability standards, and best practice in modern construction.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex technical packages and drive performance across multidisciplinary teams.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working toward professional registration.
• Previous experience in [specific sector, e.g., commercial, residential, education, healthcare].
